Oascr 2010 is almost here and everyone should look forward to getting geared up too compete in the states only championship race!
Speaking for myself (COAR), NSF and Topo we hope that it will meet all expectations as last years race did. We moved the race up a
month to avoid conflicts with other races and schedules. The race will take place at Salt Fork SP near Cambridge, Ohio. Racers familiar
with the Lepregaine Rogaine will be familiar with the area. Racers will get a race update closer to the event (about a week
out). This will enclude race times, bike and paddle drops and any other important info. Racers will receive a swag bag with gels,
a UTM tool and a wicking race T. This race will be 12 hrs long and will include mountain biking, paddling and trekking. There
may even be a few special events thrown in the mix. Any extra gear needed will either be listed or provided. All racers will have
to plot UTM's to find CP's and TA's.
Xanterra is offering us a bit of a deal for rooms and cabins. Rooms are $99 for a double
room. Cabins are $149 for 1 night which is great as they are 6 person rooms that's $25 per person. The cabins have ovens, microwave,
showers and cable tv you can't beat that with a stick. Just mention COAR for your offer.
